Orator and archivist: Iber “the Spaniard”
First Meeting: Our first decision was that the next meeting would be held prior to dinner, so as not to distract from the topics at hand. First formally addressed was the coronation of Loch Laven. In so doing, we discussed the creation of our bond of trust (expressed in the by-laws), received public recognitions by Colin McLaren, clan Laird, and followed with recitation of the by-laws, by each Loch Laven member. Acceptance was read and pledged by the following: Iber “the Spaniard,” Lexi MacBrennan, Amadeus DeSade, Sasha Aleksandra Aleksandrovna, Katya Ekaterina Aleksandrovna, Sava Savilly Aleksandr, Murfye, Katy, and Colin McLaren himself. Lexi made a very sentimental statement about Colin, recognizing his position as laird and expressing her admiration of his commitment to the cause of clan Loch Laven. He will endeavor to set an example as a member, as well as laird.
Meal Plan: How many meals per day will be allotted has yet to be discussed. The general consensus is that the basic meal plan will be discussed in greater detail later, and tested by initial Pennsic cost and affordability. This means in coming Pennsics, plans are subject to change. Flexibility will be discussed as we continue our planning of a communal meal plan.
Kitchen: tools needed – sink (check), sanitation and continuous usage (?), feast gear (per clanner, has yet to be mentioned), counter top (should include minimal necessary cookware). On part of rain, an “easy up” (?) will be put to use, but contribution to the cause is necessary. For fuel, Vykland’s plan can include us for the right price (mercenaries to the core, I love them). We’ll have to check with the Coopers to see what tanks are available on site.
Common area: initially we’ll have to share. We will though, bargain with housing camps for space. Proximity expressive acceptance will be cleared by the clan on a case by case basis, for any coming disputes.
House Duties: torch person, garbage, cooking (Katy volunteers), clean-up, land agent/diplomat (Amadeus volunteers), safety escorts, house security, minute man/woman. Unless otherwise noted, positions will be shared by clan members on a rotation basis.
Conclusion: At this point my notes include a passage that read as follows: losing track of responsibility, drunk… Upon decision that the next meeting will take place during Vykland’s next (spring) assembly, the meeting was adjourned.
Note: no official meeting took place during Vykland’s Spring Thyng assembly, which was held on the weekend of 3/31-4/2.
